Fast fashion, high fashion, and personal style. Overwhelming words if you don’t have sartorial instinct built in. Style and fashion is the social display you show to the world. How can you decide what is trendy or terrible? Nobody wants to put on a display of tumultuous turmoil with their fashion statement. Style and fashion play a huge role in our daily lives whether we realize it or not. In the age of minimalist millionaires, we have been conditioned to think that hoodies, jeans, and simple t-shirts are enough. That may very well be true, but the Zuckerbergs and Dorseys
of the world, have the most up-scale designer brand versions of those previously listed items.
But fashion is design and design is art. Your personal picks are a presentation of who you may be and what you want to convey in those moments of portrayal. What you wear can decide if you get the job, get into the club of your choosing, or get that date with that special someone. So never compromise on your style in the face of mockery or disbelief. Cause at the end of the day, fashion and style are there to make you feel confident and to make your life easier.
Fashion is constantly being re-defined, twisted, and modulated to adapt to the needs of whatever is designated to be “it” in
the moment of choosing. Each decade has had its stapled attributes that can tie it back to its respective era. This includes items such as bell bottoms and the 70s or mullets and the 80s. The great thing about 2022 is that there are no longer limitations on personal style. All I can say is that whatever the next wave is, I hope that it is good.
